  The Ford Expedition is a full size SUV built by the Ford Motor Company. First put into production in the year 1997, the Expedition was as a replacement to the Ford Bronco. It is Fords largest and final truck-based, off road and towing capable SUV. The Expedition is based heavily on the Ford F150 pickup and continues to share assorted components (transmissions, electronics, chassis control systems, towing features, etc.) with the full-size half-ton pickup truck.
